Pokhara, Nepal,
In the heart of Lakeside Pokhara, a new wave of authentic Chinese flavor is making its buzz . Zoey Aakash Hospitality, a premium Chinese restaurant with an elegant ambiance and heartfelt vision, has officially opened its doors—bringing with it not only rich tastes from mainland China but also a story of cross-cultural love and connection.
At the center of this venture is Mr. Tanghaijun, a visionary entrepreneur from China who has been closely connected to Nepal for over two decades. First stepping foot in Nepal in 2002, Mr. Tanghaijun was immediately drawn to the warmth of Nepali culture, the richness of its traditions, and the safety and serenity the country offered. Particularly enchanted by the charm of Pokhara, he began visiting regularly, eventually finding a second home in the peaceful lakeside city.
Having built a strong foundation in Nepal-China trading over the years, Mr. Tanghaijun decided to channel his passion for food and culture into something more permanent. With the support of his wife Shimaoxin, he launched Zoey Aakash Hospitality as a symbol of love, friendship, and culinary diplomacy between the two nations.
The restaurant offers authentic Chinese cuisine, prepared by a professional Chinese chef, while a Nepali chef complements the menu with fusion dishes that harmonize local flavors and international standards. The goal? To deliver a pure, unaltered Chinese taste while ensuring it’s tailored for the Nepali palate—true to the culinary essence of China but served with Nepali heart.
With a total investment of NPR 4 crores, the venue reflects class and calm. From tastefully designed interiors, cozy seating, and serene lighting to a location that opens up to the beauty of Pokhara, everything about Zoey Aakash spells excellence. The restaurant has already been praised for its warm hospitality, clean ambiance, and a menu that feels like a journey across China’s rich culinary landscape.
Zoey Aakash Hospitality also proudly aligns with cultural harmony, having collaborated in various Chinese cultural programs hosted by the Chinese Embassy. The venture is not just about food—it’s a living expression of international friendship and cultural celebration.

At 51, Mr. Tanghaijun shows no signs of slowing down. Pokhara has become his family’s true center, and he has already begun plans for a new hotel project in the area, aiming to expand his hospitality vision even further.
“I believe food is the most beautiful way to connect hearts,” says Mr. Tanghaijun with his signature smile and good humor. “Pokhara is my soul city, and I want to give back through quality, service, and love.”
With its perfect blend of culture, cuisine, and care, Zoey Aakash Hospitality is set to become one of Pokhara’s most cherished dining destinations—for locals and international visitors alike.
